[this ... is unfamiliar. very unfamiliar. Leah frowns, brow creased, and looks around her unfamiliar surroundings]
This is not Hel. This is nothing I've ever seen.
Lady Hela, are you here? [wanders around uncertainly, adding belatedly] I'll even accept Loki. With some protest.

Date: 2012-09-10 03:39 am (UTC)To him, it's a little less familiar, but he's seen pictures and all that on the internet! However, looking at photos and actually being there to see it in person are two totally different things.
And he cannot wait to see every single thing here. Thankfully, he hasn't gotten too far in his explorations, else he would have missed her arrival entirely--and he couldn't have that happen, could he? He jogs over to her now with a few bags of blue and pink cotton candy in one hand a few strips of stiff, bright yellow tickets in another. Whether he hears her remark about a protest or not, he's not commenting.]
Leah! There you are! [He smiles excitedly. (And somewhere in a sitting atop a building, Ikol is watching and shaking his head.] I wondered where you got to! Here--[He holds out the cotton candy bags.] Try one. [He says "one" specifically since he remembers the milkshake incident and has bought multiples so he can have some too.] The mortals call it "cotton candy".

there is far too much joy, here, least of all from the boy handing her-]
You want me to eat confectionery clothing materials? [Leah gives Loki a dull look, but takes the candy, tasting it
she does not give it back]

Date: 2012-09-10 04:45 pm (UTC)I do. Many machines were hard at work plucking the candied cotton from its stems. [Fortunately, he has planned for this immediate eventuality and slings a new, black bookbag that has "Broxton Police Department D.A.R.E. Program" printed on the front off his shoulders and pulls out another bag of cotton candy. If one were to look inside, one would only find other bags of the same stuff all packed in there.] I have yet to see someone wear clothing made from this spun cotton, but perhaps they wear it at home where people are not as sweaty. The integrity of the cotton is sadly eaten away rather quickly thanks to the candying process.
But enough about candied cotton, where shall we begin? [He points at the midway.] Over there, you can throw all manners of things in tests of skill and destruction, and if you are victorious, your efforts are rewarded! There is one such thing there where you "skee" a ball. I have yet to discover what "skeeing" is.

The trickster does not know a human game? I never thought I'd see the day. Do any of these throwing games involve targetting your companions?
